We’re in the midst a full-on heatwave, with temperatures looking to hit 38°C – yes, 38°C – this week. So, I’m looking for all the summer hair inspo to channel Amalfi Coast vibes while sitting on TfL. Of course, we've already had baby braids (look to Jennifer Lopez, Kendall Jenner and Simone Ashley), Emilia Clarke’s face-framing honey blonde highlights and Megan Fox’s bouncy summer haircut to spark some ideas.

Another trend that’s popping up time and time again is flat waves, a look which involves rocking the classic wavy look but minus any of the volume we’re used to seeing along the roots and lengths. Instead, flat waves means wearing your hair more, well… flat, but is still equally as chic.

Recently, we’ve had Kim Kardashian and Katy Perry both sport this hairstyle for summer and now Reese Witherspoon has given it a try, too. The actor shared a glam transformation video on Instagram, in which she’s getting ready for the premiere of Where The Crawdads Sing, a movie she worked on as producer.

After getting her make-up done and picking a hot pink dress (anybody else getting Elle Wood vibes?!), Reese reveals her hairstyle for the evening. Going from having it pinned back with clips, she’s sporting a middle parting with her hair styled into chic, effortless waves. Even though the waves sit slightly flatter, the texture and movement is dreamy and the perfect vibe for a summer outing.

Just to add to the good vibes, Reese added a remixed cover of ‘Unwritten’. Is it just us, or does that song automatically make you feel like you’re walking around the streets of L.A. a la LC (aka Lauren Conrad?). Suddenly, I feel a need to binge-watch The Hills…
