We're no strangers to a delicious roast potato recipe, especially one that uses an extra-special ingredient to spice things up. Last year, we went crazy over honey roasted potatoes, and this year it's something even wilder.

Say hello to Guinness roast potatoes.

Yep! To take your roasties to the next level all you need is a can of Guinness. The trick? Boil your spuds in Guinness.

For perfectly crisp, fluffy on-the-inside roast potatoes, check out this step-by-step video from @dadthedish on TikTok...

To begin with, @dadthedish soaks the spuds in saltwater, drains and then boils the potatoes in a can of Guinness along with some vegetable stock. Then, he pops the potatoes in boiling hot vegetable oil after coating in flour and roasting for 45 minutes.

And there you have it, Guinness roasties! Just be sure to serve with lashings of gravy.

If Guinness is your go-to tipple, then you'll be pleased to hear that they've just released a state-of-the-art beer machine. That's right, you can now pour the perfect pint of Guinness in the comfort of your own home.

And the best part? You're guided to perform the perfect two-part pour; with the iconic surge and settle resulting in a cold, smooth Guinness.

Previously rolled out across pubs, restaurants and bars earlier this year, the new release makes Brits the first in the world to have the chance to buy the limited Guinness MICRODRAUGHT.

And just think, if you've got Guinness on tap, you can make this roasties all year long...
