Rebel Wilson claims she was sexually harassed by former co-star

Rebel Wilson has claimed she was sexually harassed by a male co-star several years ago.

During a new interview for People, the Pitch Perfect actress alleged that she was targeted by an unnamed former colleague.

"He called me into a room and pulled down his pants," she recalled to the outlet.

Wilson went on to claim that the man asked her to perform a "lewd act" in front of his friends.

"It was awful and disgusting. And all the behaviour afterwards - this was all before #MeToo - where they kind of tried to destroy me and my career. If it had happened after #MeToo, then I could have just blasted them," the 42-year-old insisted, referring to the social movement that emerged in late 2017 following the exposure of sexual abuse allegations against Harvey Weinstein.

Wilson went on to note that she used her legal training, having obtained a law degree before pursuing a Hollywood career, and documented the incident.

And while she spoke with her agent and representative at the time, the Australian star later discovered she was the "fourth person to complain about the guy".

"If it happened again, I would probably stand up for myself even more just because of the bravery of the other women that have stood up and now allowed me an opportunity," she added.
