Rebekah Vardy has broken her silence after Coleen Rooney was crowned runner-up of this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!. Throughout her time on the show, Coleen became known for her stoicism in camp, was praised by fellow campmates for her can-do attitude and proved to be a success when it came to taking on Bushtucker Trials - and it seems as though Rebekah has even been impressed.

Having previously taken a swipe at Coleen’s campmates Maura Higgins and Dean McCullough, Rebekah, 42, was much more complimentary when it came to discussing her fellow WAG’s triumph on the show.

In her latest I’m A Celeb column, the mum-of-five expressed how it was “time to move on” as she gushed over Coleen. “And Coleen finished second. Coleen has had a fab series. She has really done well and made herself proud,” she wrote in The Sun.

“Yes, I know you're all waiting for me to say otherwise, I'm sorry to disappoint, but it's just not happening. It's really, really time to move on and end the year with a positive.”

Rebekah’s come after Coleen, 38, narrowly missed out on winning the title of Queen Of The Jungle and instead finished in second place behind McFly star Danny Jones. Speaking of her time on the show, the mum-of-four admitted how it was nice to have “her time” in the spotlight following the success of her husband Wayne Rooney on the football pitch.

“I didn't expect to get this far! Danny truly deserves it, I was happy to share the camp with everyone,” she said.

Following her departure from camp, Coleen also spoke to I’m A Celeb hosts Ant and Dec about what it was like making it all the way to the final. She explained: “I couldn't have wished for someone better to be in the final with, you know, fellow northerner, easy to get on with.

“But, the whole camp was – everyone was from different backgrounds, had different life stories, but as a group, we were all open, and we could relate to each other in different ways.”

And while her husband Wayne was unable to join her in Australia, the TV personality appeared on Good Morning Britain to discuss her eagerness to reunite with the Plymouth Argyle head coach. “He just said how much he missed me, how proud he was and that the support back home has been unbelievable,” she said. “He just can't wait to see me and I can't wait to see him as well.”
