"It was really hard," she told the panel. "It was up there with one of the worst things I've had to deal with – apart from being abused... when I was younger."

"I had severe anxiety attacks," she added. "I ended up in hospital three times. I had kidney stones. I felt I couldn't go out without people questioning if I did it."

Rebekah continued she couldn't reveal too much more as she was currently in a legal battle.

The scandal, dubbed 'Wagatha Christie', began when Coleen claimed in an Instagram post she'd muted all of her followers from seeing her Instagram stories apart from one.

She'd then claimed she posted a number of false stories to see if they appeared in the news, before saying Rebekah's account was the one she thought was responsible.

Rebekah, who was heavily pregnant at the time, denied it was her and issued her own statement.

"As I have just said to you on the phone, I wish you had called me if you thought this," the pregnant I'm a Celebrity star responded. "I never speak to anyone about you as various journalists who have asked me over the years can vouch for.

"If you thought this was happening you could have told me and I would have changed my passwords to see if it stopped. Over the years various people have had access to my Instagram and just this week I found I was following people I didn't know and have never followed myself."

She continued: "I'm not being funny but I don't need the money, what would I gain from selling stories on you?

"I liked you a lot Coleen and I'm so upset that you have chosen to do this, especially when I'm heavily pregnant.

"I'm disgusted that I even have to deny this. You should have called me first when this happened."

Loose Women in on ITV every weekday at 12.30pm.
