Quick and easy high protein flatbread that's under 500 calories

Finding inspiration for a quick and healthy lunch can be a task, especially if you’re scavenging through your fridge and cupboards for something. But even if you don’t have a complete meal in front of you, it’s always possible to rustle up a quick bite in no time.

One TikToker shared one of her go-to lunches while she’s on a health kick. Immi, also known as @immisplate, shared a range of tasty lunch and dinner inspiration for anyone in need of healthy inspiration without compromising on flavour.

Her pesto chicken flatbread can be made in under half an hour, which is helpful if you’re on a time limit. You’ll need just seven ingredients to complete the recipe, which boasts 48 grams of protein and has just 448 calories.

Immi’s video has already been viewed over a massive 243,900 times, with many praising her simple recipe. Khaiya Rose said: “You’re my inspiration for this! been making it recently and so so niceeeee.”

To test out Immi’s flatbread recipe at home, this is what you’ll need.

Pesto Chicken Flatbread

Ingredients

  • 1 flatbread

  • 15g pesto

  • 5g balsamic glaze

  • 10g light cheese

  • 120g chicken breast (raw weight)

  • 20g red onion

  • 50g cherry tomatoes

Method

Season and cook the chicken breast at 180℃ for 15 to 20 minutes. Cut into small pieces once cooked.

Spread the pesto on the flatbread, and then add the toppings and cheese. Cook in the oven for ten minutes at 200℃.

Once cooked, serve and enjoy!
