Eager fans will have noticed that the fab five have already started filming in Texas, USA, as a photo was posted sharing the news on their official Instagram page under the handle @queereye.
They captioned the photo not only with exciting news about season six, but reassuring info about the arrival date of season five, too. It read: 'Grab a Texas-sized box of tissues y’all because the Fab 5 just arrived in the Lone Star State to film Queer Eye Season 6! 🤠🌵(oh and P.S. Queer Eye Season 5 is coming real soon✨).'
Sharing that the crew have started production in Austin this week, the post certainly gives keen viewers something to look forward too. Reps also shared that you'll be able to enjoy season five this summer, which was filmed in Philadelphia last year.
Queer Eye rocketed to fame in 2018 when the world fell in love with all five hosts, now coined the 'fab five', and the transformation stories they document on the show. Antoni Porowski covers food and wine, Bobby Berk handles the interior design, Jonathan Van Ness tackles grooming, Karamo Brown specialises in sharing culture and Tan France is, of course, on the fashion front.
As if we needed any further persuading, critics who've already seen the new season have called it 'as joyful, positive, moving, and funny as the original — but also bigger, and more emotionally ambitious'.
Of course the cast have been keeping seriously busy in the interim, with Antoni releasing his second book, Antoni in the Kitchen, Tan co-hosting new Netflix show Next In Fashion with supermodel Alexa Chung, Karamo appearing on Dancing With The Stars, Bobby Berk pursuing his stand up comedy career, and Jonathan van Ness becoming the first non-female Cosmopolitan cover star in 35 years (how the other Queer Eye crew reacted was pretty cute).
Only three months 'till summer...
We. Can't. Wait.
