Last night, the Queen left Buckingham Palace for a private dinner at The Ivy.

In an extremely rare public outing, the monarch was spotted leaving the high-end restaurant carrying a rather interesting clutch bag.

The black-and-white accessory bore a woman and her two children. Some believe it to be of the Queen’s late sister Princess Margaret and her family.

However, others believe it was a photograph of the Queen’s long-time friend, Archduchess Helen of Austria, whose 80th birthday was being celebrated at the London restaurant.

Helen was a close friend of Princess Margaret and is familiar with most of the British royal family.

Reportedly, every guest – which also strangely included David Walliams – was given the coin purse as a gift.

For her nighttime outing, the Queen wore a silver embellished dress, wrapping up in a dark grey shawl. She also carried a black patent handbag and wore some stand-out diamond pieces.
