The Queen is opening her Sandringham estate as a drive-in cinema for fans
We might not be able to live like a queen IRL, but Her Majesty is giving us a glimpse with a new drive-in cinema at her Sandringham Estate.
The 20,000-acre estate in the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is one of the Queen's favourite residences, and fortunately there's room for us, too. At the end of the month an area of the home will be opened up as a car-friendly movie theatre, complete with food and drink stalls. How very 2020.
The official Sandringham Estate website says of the events: “Enjoy a wonderful evening in the Sandringham Gardens with the backdrop of Sandringham House.
“Relax and enjoy one or both of these ever popular films whilst enjoying fabulous street food and refreshments from artisan brewers and distillers.”

The drive-in experience is set to take place from Friday 25 September to Sunday 27 September - so you'll have to be quick. Tickets cost £32.50 per car, and guests also have the option to purchase an upgrade that includes a deck chair, table, popcorn, and separate area to the side of your parking space.
The screenings will include a wide variety of popular films, from Grease to Bohemian Rhapsody. Here's the full lineup:
September 25
5 p.m.: 1917
9 p.m: Rocketman
September 26
1 p.m.: Toy Story
5 p.m.: The Greatest Showman
9 p.m: Bohemian Rhapsody
September 27
1 p.m.: Moana
5 p.m.: Grease
9 p.m.: A Star is Born
Unfortunately, you're unlikely to run into royalty on your visit, since the Queen is currently staying at Balmoral.
Tickets for Sandringham House's drive-in are available for purchase here.
