In a shocking revelation, Queen Elizabeth II reportedly branded Meghan Markle as "evil" during a Balmoral drinks reception just weeks before her passing in 2022. An insider with ties to the Royal Family has made the sensational claim that the late monarch "saw through" Meghan, who became an official member of the Royals in 2018.

The supposed remarks occurred amidst escalating friction between Meghan, Harry, and the Royal establishment, particularly after the Sussexes hinted at experiencing racism within the family. A source divulged to the Spectator that there was utter astonishment when the Queen allegedly uttered the comment about Meghan.

The source claimed: "It was out of character for the Queen to use such a word as 'evil' to describe Meghan, but she saw straight through her. It was a startling sentence to hear from the most forgiving woman on earth.", reports the Express.

They added: "At the drinks before the dinner, a small group were talking to the monarch and she explained that Harry meeting Meghan had become a complete catastrophe and described her as 'evil'. It was clear that the Queen's health was failing and she didn't have long left; she appeared to be filled with regret over how things had turned out."

After stepping down from their Royal duties and relocating to the US in 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been focusing on various media projects and charitable endeavours, in what has been termed Megxit.

The late Queen Elizabeth II made a heartfelt statement after the pivotal Sandringham summit in 2020, which was convened to decide on Prince Harry and Meghan Markles roles within the Royal Family. Although they stepped back from being working royals, the Queen expressed that they remained "valued members" of her personal family.

In her address, she reflected: "Today my family had very constructive discussions on the future of my grandson and his family. My family and I are entirely supportive of Harry and Meghan's desire to create a new life as a young family."

"Although we would have preferred them to remain full-time working members of the Royal Family, we respect and understand their wish to live a more independent life as a family while remaining a valued part of my family. Harry and Meghan have made clear that they do not want to be reliant on public funds in their new lives."

Furthermore, the Queen outlined the transitional phase for the Sussexes, stating: "It has therefore been agreed that there will be a period of transition in which the Sussexes will spend time in Canada and the UK. These are complex matters for my family to resolve, and there is some more work to be done, but I have asked for final decisions to be reached in the coming days."
