Yesterday was a big day at work for The Queen, as she held her first in-person weekly audience with Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who she has been communicating with remotely throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

Given that it was such a momentous occasion for both the public figures, a photographer was on-hand to snap the meeting – and in the process captured the adorable family photographs that Her Majesty has on display in Windsor Castle.

In the mix is a delightful picture of Prince William and Kate Middleton, taken back in 2010 to announce their engagement. An image of the couple, now known as The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, standing with their arms around one another, can be seen on one of Her Majesty's side tables next to a carriage clock.

Also on the same table is a red-based lamp and a formal portrait of The Queen and her much-loved husband, Prince Philip, who sadly passed away at the age of 99 earlier this year.

And for all those eagle-eyed royal fans, here's a closer zoom in on the photo of The Duke and Duchess, taken over a decade ago.

On a separate nearby table, next to a bunch of beautiful pink flowers, is another photo of one of The Queen's grandchildren - Prince Harry - along with his wife, Meghan Markle. Again, the image looks to be a formally taken portrait (although not one to announce their engagement) and The Duchess of Sussex can be seen posing with her hand resting on The Duke's chest.

Again, we've saved you the trouble of doing any zooming in here:

Another personal photograph on display - almost hidden from view by the flowers - is one of the monarch's only daughter, Princess Anne, who is next to her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence.

As well as making time to meet with the PM, Her Majesty also recently attended the final day of Royal Ascot last weekend, where it's reported that she was welcomed with an enormous cheer from fellow racegoers upon arrival at the Berkshire racecourse.

It's lovely to see her back in action following the heartbreaking loss of her husband of 73 years, and her display of family photos is a clear message that whatever may be going on in the Royal Family's private lives, she's keen to present a united front.
