The Queen will attend the Remembrance Day Service at the Cenotaph
It has been confirmed that the Queen will attend the annual Remembrance Day Service at the Cenotaph on Sunday. Despite her health concerns over the past few weeks, the Palace has now confirmed that the Queen will be in attendance at the event in Central London, which is a promising development.
The Queen will attend the annual Remembrance Day Service at the Cenotaph on Sunday, November 14. And as usual, Her Majesty will oversee the emotional annual Service from above. The Queen will be standing on the balcony of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office building.
This comes after Prince Charles told well-wishers that his mother was 'all right'. The 72-year-old heir to the throne was walking down a street in Brixton, South London after an engagement for the Prince's Trust on Thursday morning (11 November), when one man asked him: "Prince Charles, how is your mother?"
The Prince then replied: "She's all right, thank you".
The Queen enjoyed a weekend away at her Sandringham country estate, but is now currently resting at Windsor Castle. Her Majesty will no doubt make the journey back to Central London very soon so that she can prepare for her public appearance on Sunday.
Although the Queen will be attending the annual Remembrance Day service on Sunday, she won't be attending the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall in London the night before on Saturday. Clarence House has confirmed that Charles and his wife Camilla will lead members of the Royal Family, with other royals in attendance.
The other royals who will be attending the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall are as follows: Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Earl and Countess of Wessex, the Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, the Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra.
It has also been confirmed that the Queen will not attend the General Synod Service and Opening Session on Tuesday, November 16. With the Earl of Wessex attending in her place.
