The Prodigy’s 50th Birthday Tribute To Keith Flint Is Typically Rock & Roll

The Prodigy have paid tribute to Keith Flint on what would have been his 50th birthday.

The late music icon was found dead at his Essex home in March. At the time police confirmed they were not treating his death as suspicious.

Marking the milestone birthday, the remaining members of the 90s rave band, Liam Howlett and Maxim, toasted their former bandmate in typical style.

“Happy birthday Flinty, not a single day passes u aren’t in our thoughts, we miss you brother , Raise the roof wherever u are muthafukka!”

The pair also shared several photos of Keith from throughout his career alongside the message.

A toxicology report found that the musician had cocaine, alcohol and codeine in his system at the time of his death.

In May, Essex Senior Coroner Caroline Beasley-Murray recorded an open conclusion at the inquest into his death, adding that “we will never quite know what was going on in [Flint’s] mind on that date”.

She explained: “I’ve considered suicide. To record that, I would have to have found that, on the balance of probabilities, Mr Flint formed the idea and took a deliberate action knowing it would result in his death.

“Having regard to all the circumstances I don’t find that there’s enough evidence for that.”

Last month, The Prodigy confirmed their return to the studio for the first time since their bandmate’s death.

“Back in the studio making noise,” the band tweeted. “Brand new Prodigy tunes are gonna roll , boooom #theprodigy #weliveforthebeats #weliveforever #cantstoptherock”.

It is still unclear whether Keith will feature posthumously on any of the new Prodigy material.
