Priyanka Chopra told us that she and Nick Jonas were expecting a baby months ago and we didn't notice
Sometimes celebrities do things that are completely lost on us mere mortals (aside from the girl on TikTok who seems to know what Kylie Jenner's doing before even Kylie does). Well, this is one of those times, as people are just realising that Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas revealed weeks ago that they were expecting a baby, and none of us even noticed.
Recently the pair took to social media to announce the exciting news that they had welcomed their first child together via a surrogate.
In a joint statement shared on both their Instagram accounts, the couple shared: "We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much."
While we were all busy congratulating the happy couple some fans were quick to point out that, actually, they told us they were expecting weeks ago during The Jonas Brothers Family Roast and we didn't clock it. We were probably too busy laughing at Sophie Turner's purity ring joke...
During the event, which took place in back in November 2021, Priyanka, Sophie and Kevin's wife Danielle ruthlessly roasted their husbands, and in her section of the evening Priyanka jokingly announced that they were expecting a baby.
"I love that I married a man who, like myself, values family. If you don't know, we're the only couple who doesn't have kids yet. Which is why I'm excited to make this announcement. Sorry, babe. We're expecting..."
Prompting this confused (and a bit stressed) face from Nick:
However, Priyanka quickly followed up that the couple were expecting, "... To get drunk tonight! And sleep in tomorrow!"
Now, in retrospect the couple absolutely were expecting at this point and little did we know that in making the joke Priyanka actually made the most ruthless joke of the night. No wonder he looked so panicked.
