The Princess of Wales visited a nursing home in Slough to meet residents and get involved with some Pancake Day activities on Tuesday (21 February).

The Princess visited the family-run Oxford House Nursing Home and joined in with staff and residents in making some pancakes for Shrove Tuesday.

Kate even had a go at flipping the pancakes herself, demonstrating some impressive skills. Photographs taken during the visit show the Princess holding a pan with a pancake mid-flip in the air as the cook watches on before a row of successful pancakes lined up on plates.

In a post shared to the Prince and Princess of Wales' official instagram shows Kate meeting 109 year old resident, Nora, who had her 100 year birthday card from Queen Elizabeth II on her knee.

"109 years young…Great to meet you, Nora!" Kate wrote in the caption.

Other photographs showed the Princess having a cup of tea with another resident, as well as meeting the full staff of the centre.

"Here at Oxford House, an award-winning, family-run nursing home in Slough, residents like Nora are cared for in such a homely and comfortable environment, with innovative tech helping enrich their daily lives," Kate said.

For the visit, Kate opted for a paired back, all navy look in a roll neck top and dark jeans, with a narrow, gold-bucked belt. Over her ensemble, Kate wore a classic camel coat, and accessorised the look with a pair of round, navy and gold earrings and a navy handbag.
