Princess Eugenie shared a moving tribute to her late grandfather, Prince Philip, on her official Instagram account on Wednesday (14 April), following the Duke of Edinburgh's death last Friday (9 April).
The royal posted a lovely photograph of herself and big sister Princess Beatrice enjoying a joke with their grandfather while the three of them watched a race from the Royal Box on Derby Day at Epsom Racecourse. The race was held in celebration of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee back in 2012.
In the caption, Eugenie shared a message to her beloved grandfather, beginning it with the words, "Dearest Grandpa, We all miss you."
She continued: "You would be so touched by all the tributes that have been shared with me the past few days.
"People remember sitting next to you at a dinner, or shaking your hand once, who remember you saying hello in passing, or remember how much their DofE award meant to them. "
Going on to open up about her memories of Prince Philip, Eugenie added: "I remember learning how to cook, how to paint, what to read. I remember laughing at your jokes and asking about your spectacular life and service in the navy.
"I remember incinerating the sausages and you swooping in to save the day.
"I remember your hands and your laugh and your favourite beer."
The new mum - whose son, August, is the Queen and Prince Philip's 11th great-grandchild - continued: "I will remember you in your children, your grandchildren and great grandchildren. "
Eugenie ended her emotive tribute by thanking her grandfather, and noting that she and the rest of the family will "look after" the Queen in his absence.
"Thank you for your dedication and love for us all and especially Granny, who we will look after for you," she wrote, before signing off her message with the words, "With all my love, Eugenie."
Her beautiful words have receiving an outpouring of likes and messages of support from royal fans on Instagram.
Prince Philip's funeral will take place this Saturday, 17 April at 3pm at St George's Chapel in Windsor.
