Princess Eugenie gave birth to a baby boy in London on Tuesday, Buckingham Palace confirmed.

The Queen's ninth great-grandchild, who is 11th in line to the throne, was born at 8:55am on Tuesday morning at the Portland Hospital in central London. Princess Eugenie's husband, Jack Brooksbank, was in the delivery room when the pair welcomed their son to the world.

Buckingham Palace released a statement in the afternoon, saying the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and Princess Eugenie's parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, were "delighted".

In the last hour, Eugenie took to Instagram to share a sweet photo of the family of three holding hands. She captioned the photo with three blue hearts. As yet, the royal baby's name hasn't been made public.

Her 1.2m followers were quick to share their congratulations and well wishes.

Eugenie married Brooksbank in October 2018, at St George's Chapel in the grounds of Windsor Castle. She announced she was pregnant with their first child last September.

Congratulations!
