Princess Eugenie is thoroughly enjoying life as a new mum, if her new photo is anything to go by. After giving birth to her son, August, in February, the 31-year-old has shared a few precious snippets of the newborn on Instagram – most recently over the Easter weekend.
Eugenie posted a photograph of a huge blossoming tree, featuring her adorable young family standing in front of it. "Wishing everyone a Happy Easter and a blossoming Spring," the Princess captioned the post, along with two yellow flower emojis and one of a little chick in its egg.
At first glance, you might miss the royals in the picture, but look closely and you can spot Princess Eugenie standing by the tree next to her husband, Jack Brooksbank, who's holding baby August in a baby carrier. Both Eugenie and Jack have big beaming smiles on their faces, and with Eugenie dressed casually in a maxi dress, the photo looks to have been taken on a family walk, most likely in Windsor where Eugenie and Jack are now living.
Last year, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry offered up their Windsor home - the freshly renovated Frogmore Cottage - to Eugenie and Jack, as the five-bedroom family home had been vacant since the Sussexes relocated to California for good. Princess Eugenie originally moved in, but then moved back out again just six weeks later to spend Christmas and the run up to her birth with Jack and her parents at Royal Lodge, also in Windsor. Following the arrival of August on 9 February, the new parents returned to Frogmore, where they're now all settled in.
The Easter family photograph is one of a select few Princess Eugenie has posted on Instagram since becoming a mother. In celebration of her 31st birthday last month, she shared two sweet pictures of a sleepy August in a monogrammed cardigan.
Before that, to mark her first Mother's Day, the royal released a photo of her baby boy lying on a blanket outside, surrounded by daffodils. She captioned that shot: "I'm so excited to be August's mum and as you can see I'm enjoying my first Mother’s Day."
August's full name - August Philip Hawke Brooksbank - pays tribute to Princess Eugenie's 99-year-old grandfather, Prince Philip (who was last month discharged from a 28-day stay in hospital), as well as two of Jack's relatives.
We're glad to see the family of three all looking so happy!
