Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, were photographed leaving Portland Hospital in London on Friday afternoon (12th February), taking home the baby the royal welcomed into the world earlier this week.

The newest royal family member was born Tuesday at 8:55 a.m.; Eugenie and Brooksbank have yet to share the name of their little one publicly.

In the photos, Brooksbank can be seen driving the couple's car as they make their way home, with Eugenie sitting in the back with her baby strapped into his car seat. The princess wore her hair straight and parted down the middle; she also wrapped up in a classic camel coat for her hospital departure, waving at the cameras as she exited the facility.

The couple announced the birth of their newborn, their first child together, with a sweet black-and-white photo posted on Instagram. In the image, both Eugenie and her husband gently hold on to their baby's hand. The princess captioned the image simply with three blue hearts emojis.

Buckingham Palace announced the royal baby's birth in a statement that read: "Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie was safely delivered of a son today, 9th February 2021, at 0855hrs at The Portland Hospital. Jack Brooksbank was present. The baby weighs 8lbs 1oz."

The statement continued: "The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Duke of York, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank have been informed and are delighted with the news. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well."

The pair's son marks the ninth great-grandchild for Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, and the first grandchild for Eugenie's parents, Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, and Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York.
