Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have named their newborn son August Philip Hawke Brooksbank.

The royal couple also shared a photo of little August on Princess Eugenie's Instagram, which was taken by their "wonderful midwife".

Jack can be seen cradling their son wrapped in a blue blanket and hat, who is holding on to Eugenie's finger as he sleeps in the sweet picture.

"We wanted to introduce you to August Philip Hawke Brooksbank," Eugenie captioned the photo. "Thank you for so many wonderful messages. Our hearts are full of love for this little human, words can't express. We are excited to be able to share these photos with you.⁣
