Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank had to wait for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to announce their engagement before they could share their exciting news, and now their wedding hashtag is having to take second place too.

Eugenie and Jack's royal wedding will be aired in an extended This Morning special on Friday 12 October, and for reporters and fans wanting to tweet all about it, the hashtag has been confirmed as #royalwedding2 so coverage won't be confused with previous coverage of Harry and Meghan's big day. Their hashtag back in May was #royalwedding.

ITV's newscaster Chris Ship tweeted: "From @ITV: the #royalwedding2 will be shown live in a special edition of @thismorning from 9:25 to 12:30 on Friday 12 October. @EamonnHolmes & @RuthieeL will present from a studio in Windsor."

It was recently confirmed by Buckingham Palace and ITV that Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford would be hosting the coverage of their wedding in Windsor next week.

The palace released a statement which read: "The Wedding Service of Princess Eugenie of York and Mr Jack Brooksbank at St George’s Chapel, Windsor will be broadcast live on ITV Daytime on Friday 12thOctober."

ITV added that This Morning will be providing live coverage of the ceremony from inside the Chapel which will be broadcast in full, including the departure of the newlyweds Eugenie and Jack as they leave the Chapel.

The BBC recently responded to claims that they have refused to televise Eugenie's big day, telling us that "news coverage" of their wedding will be available "across our services".

Sky News will also be airing moments of their wedding as part of their rolling news coverage of the event.

The palace confirmed that after the service, the newlyweds - similarly to Harry and Meghan - will undertake a short carriage out of Windsor Castle and on to part of the High Street.

Taking the lead from Harry and Meghan, they have also invited 1200 members of the public to watch their wedding in Windsor. Following the service, the Queen will also host a Reception at Windsor Castle for the newlyweds and guests.
