Princess Eugenie has recently shown her support for the fight against plastic by becoming an ambassador for Project Zero, a marine charity which aims to restore and protect the ocean. Now, the royal bride-to-be has revealed she wants her big day to reflect her commitment to the anti-plastic movement.

In an interview with Vogue, the 28-year-old said she is planning her wedding to Jack Brooksbank in October to be completely plastic-free, just like her home.

"My whole house is anti-plastic now - and Jack and I want our wedding to be like that as well," Eugenie said.

Speaking about her role with Project Zero, which started in June, the princess said that working on reducing her use of plastic has been "eye-opening". She added that her wedding planning so far has involved putting together Pinterest boards for wedding cake ideas.

Eugenie and Booksbank will follow in the footsteps of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex when they tie the knot this autumn. The couple announced their engagement in January and will marry at St George's Chapel in Windsor - the same venue as Harry and Meghan - on 12 October. There's no doubt that all eyes will be on the bride, but with just over two months to go, there's no sign of pre-wedding nerves just yet.

"I'm not stressed at all," Eugenie told the magazine. "It's very nerve-wracking because you want it to be perfect but then you realise that you’re going to be with the person you love forever and nothing else really matters."
