Princess Eugenie took to Instagram to congratulate her sister, Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, who recently announced they were expecting their first child together.

Princess Eugenie shared a photograph of Princess Beatrice and her husband on their wedding day, along with a selfie of the couple during a nature walk by a waterfall.

In the post, Eugenie wrote, “Beabea and Edo huge congratulations on your news - can't wait to meet the little one.”

The Princess also used the post to raise awareness for the protection of bees, writing, “It's World Bee Day! A day to celebrate nature's most badass little friend with their black and yellow stripes.”

The focus then turned towards her older sister, who she calls Bea, saying, “but our furry little friends have to share today with my big sis Bea who's got a little one on the way.”

Members of the public sent messages of congratulations to the Royal Family.

“So happy for your sister! All the best wishes,” read one message, while another said, “Congratulations Princess Beatrice on your pregnancy....August is gonna get a cousin.”

Princess Eugenie welcomed a baby of her own earlier this year with husband Jack Brooksbank.
