Princess Eugenie's 12 October royal wedding to Jack Brooksbank is quickly approaching, but does she have a maid of honour helping her prep for the big day? Although the role is uncommon for royal weddings, the Duchess of Cambridge was one such bride who chose to have one, selecting her sister Pippa Middleton.

In a new interview, Princess Eugenie revealed that she will indeed have a maid of honour, and her only sibling, Princess Beatrice, will take on the role, according to People.

"I’m not stressed at all," the bride-to-be said of wedding planning. "It’s nerve-racking because you want it to be perfect, but then you realise that you’re going to be with the person you love forever and nothing else really matters."

Expect to see other royal family members involved in the nuptials too; Princess Charlotte will be a flower girl and Prince George will be a page boy. The children have already had plenty of wedding experience thanks to their uncle Prince Harry, who got married in May, and aunt Pippa Middleton, who tied the knot last year.

Like Eugenie, Prince Harry was expected to choose his only sibling as his best man, and the groom ultimately did select the Duke of Cambridge for the role. Meghan, on the other hand, didn't have a maid of honour because "she didn’t want to choose one over another," a palace spokesperson said ahead of the ceremony.

However, her friends still helped her prepare for the wedding. Her friend Jessica Mulroney, for example, assisted in choosing the wedding day wardrobe and was one of the few to accompany the page boys and flower girls on the day, alongside the Duchess of Cambridge.
