Princess Eugenie Celebrates First Valentine's Day Since Her Royal Wedding with a Romantic Photo

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have celebrated Valentine’s Day together for years – but this marks their first as husband and wife.

Queen Elizabeth‘s granddaughter celebrated the romantic holiday by sharing a dreamy black and white photo from the couple’s wedding to her personal Instagram. The shot, first released the day after their Oct. 12 wedding, shows Eugenie and Jack sharing a kiss in the back of the Scottish State Coach after their romantic carriage ride through the streets of Windsor.

“Happy Valentine’s Day…” the newlywed, 28, captioned the post, along with a number of heart emoji.

The longtime couple exchanged vows in front of 800s guests in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. After they said their “I dos,” they had their first kiss as husband and wife on the steps of the chapel in front of gathered fans.

Their wedding photographer, Alex Bramall, snapped their second candid kiss upon the couple’s return to Windsor Castle following their carriage procession.

The couple, who announced their engagement in January 2018, met when Eugenie was still at Newcastle University in the Swiss ski resort of Verbier after being introduced by friends.

Eugenie said in an interview with BBC 1’s Matt Baker that it was “love at first sight” — and Jack agreed.

“We met when I was 20, he was 24,” she said. “[We] fell in love. We have the same passions and drive for life.”

Their seven-year romance included a stretch of maintaining the relationship long distance, when Eugenie moved to New York City for a job.

Eugenie and Jack tied the knot in front of 800 guests, who then joined them for a luncheon hosted by the Queen at Windsor Castle and an evening reception at the Royal Lodge, which is Prince Andrew‘s royal residence that he shares with his ex-wife, Fergie.

The party continued the following day with a festival-style event complete with a fairground of carnival games, a merry-go-round, a ferris wheel and food stalls at Windsor Great Park.

Singer Ellie Goulding was one of the famous faces in attendance and was later seen performing for the happy couple.
