Congratulations are in order for Princess Diana's niece, Lady Kitty Spencer, who wed fashion mogul, Michael Lewis, in a luxury Italian ceremony on Saturday. It's believed that the couple, who have an age gap of over thirty years, first met back in 2018 and are thought to have gotten engaged over the Christmas period of 2019.

Kitty wore not one, but five bespoke Dolce & Gabbana dresses for the special event, with the design house sharing a glimpse of all the gowns - and the creation process - on their Instagram. "A glimpse at the #AltaModa gowns created exclusively by Dolce and Gabbana for @kitty.spencer on the most important day of her life," the caption, accompanying a video of Kitty in the five different dresses, read. "The looks include a Victorian inspiration lace bridal gown."

It makes perfect sense for Kitty to have opted for Dolce & Gabbana for her wedding dress(es), as the model has long been an ambassador for (and worked with) the brand.

Harper's Bazaar report that the couple recited their vows at a stunning Roman villa, Villa Aldobrandini, before family and friends, some of whom included Pixie Lott and Idris Elba. Key senior royals, such as Prince William and Prince Harry (Kitty's cousins), were not in attendance. It's unclear why, as the cousins are all thought to share a close bond – Kitty was a guest at both Prince William's wedding to Kate Middleton, and Prince Harry's wedding to Meghan Markle.

Ever the kind-hearted pal, Pixie also posted an image of Kitty in her bridal couture on Instagram with the comment, "Absolutely stunning @kitty.spencer @dolcegabbana pure beauty inside and out ❤️ Congratulations Kitty and Michael! So much ❤️❤️❤️"

It's believed that Kitty's new husband Michael, who made his money through the fashion industry (as the owner of high street shops Whistles and Phase Eight), popped the question just before Christmas in 2019 - Kitty was first spotted wearing her engagement ring in the January of 2020. The couple both share strong links to South Africa and judging by social media, also enjoy a joint passion for travel.

According to reports, Kitty's family more than approve of their relationship too, despite the age gap which makes Michael five years older than Kitty's father (Diana's brother), The Earl Spencer. A source close to the pair previously shared that, "Michael is loved by all of them. Despite his wealth, he's very humble and low key."

Congratulations to the happy couple!
