Princess Charlotte's favourite snack - and it's the last thing most nine-year-olds would choose

Princess Charlotte, at just nine years old, has a surprisingly refined taste for food. Unlike most children her age who would be content with cheese sandwiches and various potato-style dishes, the young royal clearly prefers more sophisticated fare, with her mother once revealing that she has a particular fondness for olives.

A talented and passionate home chef herself, The Princess of Wales has previously mentioned that her children enjoy "making salads and stuff" as well as their signature dish, cheesy pasta. They also enjoying baking with together as the public saw in the heart-warming video shared ahead of Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee in 2022.

While visiting Lavender Primary School, Catherine shared that her children love to help their mum out in the kitchen and enjoy getting their hands messy and working together. Their speciality is cheesy pasta, which they all have designated jobs in making.

“One stirs the flour, one puts the milk and butter in,” Matthew Kleiner-Mann, chief executive of the Ivy Learning Trust, said after a visit to the school in 2019. She was telling us how much her children love cooking and how they cook for her,” he added.

It’s not surprising that the children love macaroni cheese but the Princess also revealed that Princess Charlotte is a big fan of olives as well - a fancy snack for someone so young.

Kate also spoke about her children’s breakfast preferences when she visited the London Early Years Foundation in Stockwell Gardens Nursery, London last year.

School manager Michelle Samuels explained: "[She] mentioned to three of the children that her own children enjoy apples and cereal in the morning, which sparked a conversation with the children about their own preference of fruits."

In terms of what Prince George enjoys eating the most, his father Prince William revealed while he was working with celebrity chef Aldo Zilli at the youth homelessness charity Centrepoint that his favourite dish is spaghetti carbonara.

The revelation led chef Aldo to tell The Express: "I'm waiting for the call because apparently his little boy's favourite is spaghetti carbonara, so I'm waiting for the call to go and cook for him."

Kate has also previously revealed that her youngest son, Prince Louis has a fondness for a certain vegetable. A few years ago, she spoke to TV chef Dame Mary Berry about her children’s food preferences and said: “We’ve got carrots, beans, beetroot - a massive favourite - Louis absolutely loves beetroot.”
