Princess Charlotte was seen taking an inquisitive peek inside the Duchess of Cornwall's handbag during the carriage procession at the Queen's Birthday Parade on Thursday, June 2.

Charlotte, 7, and brothers Prince George, 8, and Prince Louis, 4, were making their carriage debut at Trooping the Colour with Camilla and the Duchess of Cambridge.

The young royal was photographed taking a quick look as George and Louis looked on, before turning and flashing a smile for the cameras.

Some royal fans wondered whether their step-grandmother had kept some sweets in her bag to keep them entertained during the parade, which took them to the balcony at Buckingham Palace to watch the special RAF flypast.

Earlier in the day, Charlotte had been pictured schooling little Louis on royal etiquette, as she could be seen gently pushing his arm down to signal that he should stop waving. The three young royals had been waving to spectators during the procession, who were cheering and applauding the Cambridge family.

Meanwhile, Prince George and Princess Charlotte have joined William and Kate in Cardiff for day three of the jubilee celebrations. Prince Louis has remained at Kensington Palace.

The duke and duchess announced that they had arrived in the Welsh capital on Kensington Royal's official Twitter account.

'We've arrived in Wales,' William and Kate wrote. 'We're looking forward to seeing how you’re marking the #PlatinumJubilee at Cardiff Castle today and meeting some of the talented people helping you celebrate in style.'

The royal couple were taking a look at the rehearsals taking place in Cardiff Castle ahead of the Jubilee concert, commemorating the Queen's 70-year reign. The Cambridges then returned to London later in the day in time for William to attend the Platinum Party at Buckingham Palace.
