Princess Beatrice sent handwritten thank you cards after her royal wedding

From Harper's BAZAAR

Princess Beatrice tied the knot with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in a low-key royal wedding earlier this year. The couple's nuptials were scaled down on account of the coronavirus pandemic, but the affair was still exceedingly chic, with the bride wearing a dress borrowed from the Queen.

In recent days, royal fans have been taking to social media to share photos of the beautiful thank you notes they have received from Princess Beatrice and her husband. Featuring an official wedding photo on the front, and a copy of a handwritten note inside, Beatrice thanked everyone who'd congratulated her and her new husband on getting married.

"Thank you so much for the wonderful note you so kindly sent to us on the occasion of our wedding this summer at Royal Lodge," read the note. "Edo and I had a magical day filled with special moments with our families."

Addressing the ongoing pandemic, Beatrice and Mapelli Mozzi explained, "We are so grateful to all those who have worked hard to protect our communities over the last few months, we owe them so much."

The letter signed off, "Thank you for thinking of us as we begin our married life. Beatrice and Edo x."

Beatrice's vintage wedding gown has since gone on display at Windsor Castle. Tweeting about the exhibition, Beatrice wrote, "It was an honour to wear my grandmother’s beautiful dress on my wedding day, I hope many of you are able to visit the exhibition which is still open at Windsor Castle."
