The Royal Family have announced that Princess Beatrice is pregnant and will be expecting a baby this autumn.

Princess Beatrice is expecting her first child with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, who she married in July last year in a small but beautiful ceremony.

The news came on the official Royal Family social media account which said: “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in autumn of this year.”

Many members of the public were quick to comment on the post with their congratulations and best wishes for the couple’s exciting news.

“Congratulations to this lovely couple” read one message while others rejoiced at the “lovely” and “wonderful news”.

Princess Beatrice's sister, Princess Eugenie, welcomed her own first child, named August, earlier this year. The Princess announced the birth by posting an adorable photograph of herself holding August alongside her husband, Jack Brooksbank.
