Princess Beatrice has gained two new roles after marrying property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi on Friday.

The couple wed in a private ceremony at All Saints Chapel in the grounds of Windsor Castle with just 20 guests present. They included the couple's guests of honour: the Queen and Prince Philip. You can see the photos here.

Not only has Beatrice has taken the title of 'Contessa' or Countess, thanks to her fiancé being of Italian aristocracy, sharing the title of 'Count' with his father Count Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi. But she has also gained a new personal role, that of step-mother to Edoardo's four-year-old son Wolfie.

According to Town and Country, Edoardo was in a long-term relationship with architect and designer Dara Huang before meeting Beatrice.

'The couple welcomed their first child, Christopher Woolf "Wolfie" Mapelli Mozzi, in 2016. While Mozzi and Huang separated in the years following their son's birth, they appear to have a good relationship and Huang wished the couple well when they got engaged last year,' the magazine reports.

Buckingham Palace has confirmed that Wolfie played an important role in the ceremony on Friday as a pageboy.

Few further details have been released about the wedding, but we do know that Beatrice wore a gown and tiara belonging to the Queen and her father Prince Andrew, who has retired from public life following his friendship with late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, walked her down the aisle. Andrew denies any wrongdoing.
