We're still getting over the surprise of Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's low-key royal wedding (the couple's original plans were delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic) but it seems they're having the time of their lives as newlyweds - and are currently enjoying a romantic road trip honeymoon in France.

According to People, the couple is on their holiday as we speak, with plans for more alone time next month. "They are on a small honeymoon in France," a source said. "They have a longer more luxurious honeymoon planned for August."

A source also told the Mail on Sunday that Beatrice and Edoardo were spotted as they drove a small car packed with belongings in the south of France. Sounds like a perfect road trip!

The couple initially planned to marry at St James' Chapel on May 29, but were forced to indefinitely postpone their big day due to coronavirus. Two weeks after wedding restrictions lifted, they married at All Saints Chapel in Windsor Great Park with less than 20 people as their guest.

Despite the smaller invite list, Beatrice and Edoardo still pulled together a fun-filled reception, taking place in a marquee in the Royal Lodge gardens. The marquee was reportedly named 'The Duke of York', after Prince Andrew, and was kitted out with sofas, a jukebox, draft beer and a dartboard.

Guests also slept in glamping pods in the gardens, which sounds perfectly low-key, and a bouncy castle was brought in.

Beatrice and Edo allegedly weren't going to bother with a honeymoon but changed their minds at the last minute.

"They decided to pack up the car and head out. They're a very down-to-earth couple," the source told the Daily Mail.

Sounds like the newlyweds are loving every second of married life. Congratulations!
