After marrying in a secret, low-key ceremony last week, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have now jetted off on a romantic honeymoon to the South of France, and were a tiny bit jealous to say the least.

Considering most of us have written off a holiday abroad this year and have accepted that a staycation by the beach is the best were going to get, reports of their super-romantic, super low-key road trip around France have really hit us hard. But after having to postpone their wedding - originally planned for May 2020 - due to the Coronavirus pandemic, if anyone deserves a slice of luxury, it's these two.

Described as a 'a very down-to-earth couple,' by a source to the Daily Mail, the newlyweds weren't allegedly going to bother with a honeymoon, but like their wedding - which came together in a mere two weeks, after the lockdown ban on weddings was lifted - they decided to head overseas at the last minute, and packed a car for the chilled out road trip.

'They are on a small honeymoon in France,' a source told PEOPLE, revealing that the pair have a 'more luxurious' trip planned for next month too.

'They’re terribly happy. They’re besotted with each other,' a source close to the family told the publication, revealing that the pair were 'desperate' to wed, once the UK lockdown restrictions were lifted at the beginning of July, allowing small weddings of up to 30 guests to go ahead.

Despite the small guest-list, the royal couple still managed to pull together a fun wedding reception in the Royal Lodge Gardens at Windsor, with guests said to be sleeping in glamping pods, and a bouncy castle nearby. The reception itself, was held under a marquee - reportedly named 'The Duke of York,' after Beatrice's father Prince Andrew - which was kitted out with sofas, a jukebox, draft beer and a dartboard.

Beatrice's wedding - which was held in front of a select few family and friends only - is the first time Prince Andrew has been seen publicly in the same place as the Queen and Prince Philip, since the arrest of his former friend Ghislaine Maxwell earlier this month in connection to the case of late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew denies any involvement or wrong-doing, but has since retired from public life.

After a hectic year, we're glad to see that the young couple were not only able to hold their wedding this year after all, but have also managed to get away for some much-needed alone time, to enjoy being man and wife on the low-key romantic trip of their dreams...

Congratulations Beatrice and Edoardo!
