Princess Beatrice is now engaged to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, but who is the royal's fiancé?

The 30-year-old royal has been dating Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi since September last year, but have known each other for years.

The royal made her first public appearance with her now fiancé (known as Edo to friends) in March this year, at a gala at the National Portrait Gallery in London.

The couple previously attended the Berggruen Priza Gala in New York last December, but they weren’t photographed together.

According to the Daily Mail, the pair were set up through mutual friends and has since then been introduced to the princess', the Duke and Duchess of York.

Mozzi, 34, is the CEO of Banda Property, a property development and interior design company. The businessman (who is said to be a multi-millionaire) set up the organisation, which finds "London's most desirable properties" for its clients, back in 2007. He has reportedly been married once before and has a two-year-old son.

It's thought that Beatrice introduced Mozzi as her boyfriend at a party held by Indian billionaire Lakshmi Mittal. It's clear that getting engaged has always been on the cards for the happy couple, as it was obvious from the start.

"They've been on holiday together and Beatrice introduced him to Fergie and her dad," a source previously told The Sun back in 2018. "Things are moving very quickly and it wouldn't surprise anyone if they got engaged within a short period of time.

"They could even be tying the knot in 2019 - it's already been discussed by her friends."

Beatrice split from her previous boyfriend, Dave Clarke, in August 2016. Following news of the break-up, reports claimed that their decision to end their long-lasting relationship was "mutual". Clark married American advertising executive , Lynn Anderson, at a ceremony in Italy in July 2018.
