Princess Anne visited an RAF training facility to meet new recruits during their graduation ceremony.

The Princess Royal attended the parade at RAF Cranwell in Lincolnshire over the weekend to welcome new Royal Air Force officers into their qualified roles.

Princess Anne looked chic in a sophisticated blue coat dress and co-ordinating hat, featuring blue flowers and a curved feather.

A smiling photograph of the Princess Royal meeting officers lined up at their graduation parade was shared on the official Royal Family social media account.

In a caption alongside the post, it explained that, “Princess Royal attended a @royalairforceuk Officer Training Academy Graduation Parade at RAF Cranwell,” and added, “Congratulations to all the new officers!”

Members of the public commented on the post saying, “love Princess Anne in this blue!” and “The Princess Royal looks a lot like HM The Queen. Two admirable women.”

Princess Anne is the Queen’s only daughter of her four children.

Her Majesty’s youngest son, Prince Edward was also busy with royal duties over the weekend, during a visit to Northern Ireland with his wife, Sophie Wessex.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex visited a number of projects and events during their visit, including local markets and tree planting with school children.

The pair also opened a new state of the art leisure centre, which has been used for mass vaccinations over the pandemic.

“The Earl and Countess thanked those involved in the vaccination operation,” explained a post on the Royal Family's Instagram account.
