The Queen and Kate Middleton have shared a similar nighttime cocktail ritual, it would appear.

After learning that Her Majesty has only recently given up her favourite nighttime tipple - a dry martini -, it has since been revealed that the Duchess of Cambridge enjoys a gin and tonic in the evening, brought to her by none other than her husband, Prince William.

A friend of the royal family reportedly told People that once the couple's three children are put to bed, 'William will bring Kate a gin and tonic.

'They look after each other, but in different ways.'

News of this sweet evening gesture comes after a rather busy festive period for Middleton following her recent hosting duties at Westminster Abbey's special Christmas carol service, where she was supported by the Duke.

Sadly, it's believed the royal family won't come together, as planned, for a pre-Christmas lunch this year. Several publications have recently reported that the get-together has been canceled with just over a week to go before December 25 amid rising cases of Omnicron.

According to Rebecca English from the Daily Mail, the Monarch felt it ‘could put too many people’s Christmas arrangements at risk if it went ahead'.

As for Middleton's health routine throughout the year, while the mother-of-three might enjoy a classic British G&T before bed, Hello! previously reported that, by contrast, she enjoys a smoothie by day.

Her healthy diet also reportedly consists of regular workouts, a 10.30pm bedtime, and that she prefers to eat early dinners.

Earlier this month, during an episode of Apple Fitness+'s audio podcast series Time to Walk, Prince William shared Princess Charlotte's morning ritual, revealing that she likes to go 'completely crazy' when showing off her dancing moves at breakfast time.

The young royal, who is known for taking ballet lessons, even has disputes with her brothers regarding what song gets played.

'Most mornings there's a massive fight between Charlotte and George as to what song is played in the morning,' Prince William said, before adding: 'George gets his go, then Charlotte gets her go. Such is the clamour for the music.'

As for the kids' music choice, it's naturally Shakira's 'Waka Waka'.

'There's a lot of hip movements going along. There's a lot of dressing up,' the father-of-three added.
