Prince William shared a memory of his mother, Princess Diana from when he was a child, along with a touching photo.

The photo shows Princess Diana sitting and talking with a man at a homelessness charity. Prince William shared the photo to his official Instagram account and revealed that his mother brought him to The Passage organisation for the first time as a child.

In a caption alongside the post, the Duke of Cambridge explained that he had visited the charity multiple times over the years and had now returned to celebrate its 40th anniversary.

The Duke also shared photos of himself meeting with the people behind The Passage, who are responsible for its “life-changing work”, saying he had “great affection for [them] all.”

Prince William wrote, “Over the many years that I have visited The Passage, first with my mother when I was just a small boy, I have developed a great affection for you all.

Every time I come here, I am touched by the warmth and friendliness, and the dignity and respect you show to everyone who comes through your door.”

The Duke went onto to say he was “always so impressed to see and hear the difference that The Passage makes to the lives of people who are experiencing homelessness.”

Prince William ended the post by thanking everyone involved for their continuous work.

Members of the public left supportive comments commending Prince William for continuing his mother’s support of important causes.

“Honour her legacy and her passion. Keep doing whatever you are doing Will and she will be so proud of you,” wrote one commenter, while others added, “Thank you for being involved with such a great organisation” and “you have your mother’s warmth and charm.”
