The Cambridges rang in the New Year with a rare and intimate glimpse at their relationship.

To mark New Year's Eve, Prince William and Kate Middleton shared a photo featuring the pair cosied up in the back of a limousine. The photo, which featured both the Duchess of Cambridge and her husband beaming for the camera and holding hands, was taken earlier this autumn at the UK premiere of the latest James Bond Film, No Time to Die.

For the occasion, Kate wore a gorgeous gold-sequined cape gown, courtesy of Jenny Packham, which included a sheer, sultry embellished overlay as well as classic nude pumps by Aquazzura and matching gold statement earrings.

"Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!" read a note from the couple accompanying the photo on Instagram.

Prince William and Kate Middleton gave royal fans another glimpse at their personal life this festive season with the annual release of their Christmas card, featuring all three of their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, during a family trip to Jordan earlier that year. The Cambridges were more dressed down for the shoot, however, with Kate and Charlotte opting for breezy dresses and William and the boys opting for polo shirts and khaki shorts.

Due to the current surge in Covid-19 cases, the Cambridges along with the rest of the royal family did not partake in their annual public walk at Sandringham with the Queen on Christmas Day. Instead, the family were understood to have visited with the Queen privately in a socially distanced fashion.
