In his new ITV documentary, Prince William: A Planet for Us All, the Duke of Cambridge pays a visit to Liverpool and speaks to a group of children who build a bug hotel dubbed ‘Bugingham Palace’.
During a discussion about the importance of insects for the ecosystem, the children ask the royal about his family and being a parent to three children: Prince George, 7, Princess Charlotte, 5, and Prince Louis, 2.
‘Is Princess Charlotte cheekier than Prince George?’ one child questions, reports Hello! magazine.
‘No they’re about as cheeky as each other,’ Prince William answers before adding: ‘They’re very cheeky.’
Another student asks William if George had taught him how to floss.
‘No, Charlotte can floss,’ the proud dad replies. ‘Catherine can floss but I can't. It's, it's like a really horrible film to watch me floss.’
In the new documentary, which airs on Monday, the Duke of Cambridge opens up about how his children have inspired him to work hard on promoting messages to protect the environment with the public and focus on his conservation efforts.
‘I really want to make sure that in 20 years, George doesn't turn around and say, “are you ahead of your time?” Because if he does, we’re too late,’ William says in the programme.
'I thought about that the other day and I, I just thought, you know three generations of the same family saying the same thing. When will we see the action that everyone so desperately needs and wants?'
‘Now I’ve got George, Charlotte and now Louis in my life, your outlook does change. You want to hand over to the next generation, the wildlife, in a much better condition,’ he added.
Over the weekend, the Kensington Royal Instagram and Twitter accounts shared a sweet video of the three royal children posing questions to Sir David Attenborough about the natural world.
The clip marked the first time the world has heard Prince Louis speak and yes, it’s as adorable as you’d imagine it to be.
