Prince William has 'blanked out' problem brother Harry - but there is a glimmer of hope for their relationship

Royal expert Jennie Bond has given an insight into the fractured relationship between Prince William and Prince Harry, but maintained hope that one day they could patch things up. The Royal brothers were once known to be super close, but over recent years things have become strained between them.

Harry, 39, now resides in the US with his wife Meghan, 42, and their two children, Archie, five, and Lilibet, three. It has been claimed that Harry wishes his two children had a relationship with their cousins - Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis - in the UK, with Royal author Tom Quinn saying the Sussexes "would love" for the cousins to meet up regularly.

Tom told the Mirror: "We know that Harry's deepest upset concerns not just his lack of relationship with George, Charlotte and Louis, but also his own children's lack of a relationship with their cousins.

"Harry and Meghan would love to get round the problem - they would love it if the cousins could meet regularly and have a positive relationship as they grow up, but they cannot see a way to do it while they themselves, Harry and Meghan, are estranged. Harry has said that he hopes the cousins can at least be friends as adults."

Former BBC Royal correspondent Jennie has exclusively shared her thoughts with OK! about whether Harry and Meghan will regret Archie and Lilibet not having a relationship with George, Charlotte and Louis. She noted that Harry "hopes to see" his family in the UK "more often", but knows his own family's "future" is in the US.

"All we have to go on is that Harry had said he loves his UK family and hopes to see them more often. But he has also said he now regards the USA as home….and that suggests he is resigned to the fact that his family’s future is in America and not the UK," she told us.

Jennie claimed Prince William has "blanked out" Harry, prompting the Duke to focus on his wife Meghan and their children. She said things could "change" in time between the brothers and their families.

Jennie told OK!: "I think positions and attitudes have become entrenched. William has blanked out the “Harry problem” and I imagine that Harry now spends almost all of his time focusing on his own wife and children.

"So I rather doubt that he spends much time regretting the fact that his kids don’t know their cousins. All this, though, could change with the passage of time."
