How Prince Harry's style has changed since meeting Meghan Markle

Not a royal engagement goes by without a full breakdown of the Duchess of Sussex‘s outfit, as every messy bun, clutch bag and accessory is thrown under the media spotlight. But what about Prince Harry‘s sartorial habits?

The 34-year-old is often left out of the headlines with little research invested into his go-to labels or the possible ‘hidden meanings’ behind his attire.

But upon closer inspection, it seems he too underwent a Kensington Palace wardrobe purge after settling down and gaining his ‘duke’ title.

Prior to meeting Meghan, the royal was often photographed in relaxed chinos, multi-pocketed cargo trousers and open-collared fleeces – a ‘safe’ approach to Sloane dressing.

Fast-forward to his debut engagement alongside then-fiancée Meghan in Nottingham on December 1 and the Prince surprised fashion critics with a sneak preview of his new wardrobe.

Harry stepped out to greet flag-bearing crowds in a camel-hued tailored coat and co-ordinating scarf – wait for it, worn solely for fashion purposes.

The royal has continued to surprise the nation ever since by sticking to a muted colour palette and his go-to sartorial weapon (that grey blazer) on public engagements.

In need of visual evidence?

We take a look back at Prince Harry’s post-wedding wardrobe and with so many co-ordinating couple moments, we can’t help but wonder if Meghan asks him to change his tie before leaving the house.
