The Duke of Sussex has a new job as an executive at a Silicon Valley startup. Prince Harry is now chief impact officer at BetterUp Inc, a coaching and mental health firm based in San Francisco.

“I intend to help create impact in people’s lives,” he explained to the Wall Street Journal. “Pro-active coaching provides endless possibilities for personal development, increased awareness, and an all-round better life.”

Within his new role, Harry will advocate publicly on topics around mental health and will work on initiatives within the company such as product strategy decisions and charitable contributions.

Earlier this year, Harry and his wife, the Duchess of Sussex, confirmed that they wouldn’t return as working members of the royal family. The pair’s previous responsibilities and duties are to be divided among working members of the royal household.

Harry and Meghan formally stepped down as senior members on 1 April 2020 and have since relocated to California with their son Archie. The couple are expecting a baby girl later this year.
