Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are pretty much the dream couple already, and Harry has just made their relationship seem even more lovely, by revealing the sweet secret dates that the pair used to go on when they first got together.

Harry shared the cute anecdote during a wide-ranging interview on the Armchair Expert podcast with hosts Dax Shepard and Monica Padman, where he also promoted his upcoming Apple TV+ mental health series with Oprah Winfrey, The Me You Can't See.

Speaking about the early days of his relationship with Meghan, Harry revealed the lengths the pair went to to hide their relationship when Meghan first came to stay at Kensington Palace in 2016. He told the show's hosts that he and Meghan would go on secret supermarket trips together, pretending they didn't know one and another and texting from across the aisles.

When asked whether he does "mundane things" like going to the supermarket, Harry explained, "The first time Meghan and I met up for her to come and stay with me, we met up in a supermarket in London, pretending we didn't know each other, texting each other from the other side of the aisles."

He continued, "There's people looking at me, giving me all these weird looks, and coming up to me and saying 'hi'. I texted her saying 'is this the right one', and she said 'no you want parchment paper', and I'm like 'where's the parchment paper?!'."

"I had a baseball cap on, looking down at the floor, trying to stay incognito," he said, before adding, "It's amazing how much chewing gum you see, it's a mess."

While Harry didn't reveal which supermarket he and Meghan met up in, Meghan was spotted shopping at Whole Foods in London in 2016.

Any guesses on where they might have been? Aldi? Lidl? Keep your eyes peeled next time you're down the shops.
