Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have shared the happy news that they have welcomed their second baby, a little girl.
The couple's daughter was born on Friday, 4 June at 11.40am at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex paid tribute to both Prince Harry's grandmother, the Queen, and his late mother, Princess Diana, with their choice of name.
The little one has been named Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.
An official announcement was shared on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's website, Archewell, revealing the happy news and sharing that both mother and daughter are healthy and well at home.
Explaining the special meaning behind Lili's name, the statement says: "Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet. Her middle name, Diana, was chosen to honor her beloved late grandmother, The Princess of Wales."
The post also included a personal message from the Duke and Duchess. It reads: "On June 4th, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili. She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we’ve felt from across the globe. Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family."
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are also parents to Archie Harrison, who turned two last month. They announced that Meghan was expecting their second child with the release of a stunning black and white picture taken by photographer Misan Harriman, back in March.
Wishing Prince Harry and Meghan huge congratulations on the arrival of little Lili!
