Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want you to choose who they follow on Instagram
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are calling on the public to help them choose which Instagram accounts to follow from now on.
On Thursday, the royals’ Instagram account @sussexroyal posted a photograph of a blue square with the pair’s royal crest and the question: “Who is your force for change?”.
In the caption to the image, Prince Harry and Meghan ask for their 9.2 million followers to let them know who they believe are forces for change in the world and who they should follow on the social media platform as a result.
“Each month, we change the accounts we follow to highlight various causes, people or organisations doing amazing things for their communities and the world at large,” an excerpt from the caption reads.
“Over the next few days please add your suggestions into the comments section: someone you look up to, the organisation doing amazing work that we should all be following, an account that inspires you to be and do better (or that simply makes you feel good), or the handle that brims with optimism for a brighter tomorrow.”

The couple explain that they will choose 15 accounts to follow from Monday 5 August for the month, as they spend “the month of August acknowledging the Forces for Change in all our lives”.
At the time of writing, the post has been liked more than 167,000 times, with several of their followers posting suggestions as to which organisations and individuals the couple should support on Instagram.
One user suggested the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), which is a national organisation that works in courts, legislatures and communities to defend individual rights and liberties.
Several users suggested The Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge, while others threw Queen Elizabeth II’s name into the mix.
Women’s charities and international humanitarian organisation Doctors Without Borders were also among the suggestions.
The couple’s post comes days after British Vogue announced Meghan had guest edited the fashion publication’s September issue which is titled “Forces for Change”.
The issue features 15 women on the cover, hailing from the worlds of politics, sports and the arts.
The duchess told the magazine’s editor, Edward Enninful, that she wanted to “focus on the women she admires”, all of whom are regarded by British Vogue as being “brilliant female changemakers”.
In April, Prince Harry and Meghan broke the record for the fastest time to gain one million followers on Instagram after launching their verified account.
The account accrued 1 million followers in five hours and 45 minutes, according to the global authority on record-breaking achievements Guinness World Records.
