Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting their second baby. The Sussexes confirmed the happy news by releasing a stunning black and white photograph on Sunday (14 February).

In the beautiful shot, taken outside by photographer Misan Harriman, Meghan shows off her growing baby bump while lying with her head lying in Harry's lap. The pair are beaming at one another, with the prince cradling his wife's head.

The photo was posted by Harriman on his official Instagram account, alongside a lovely message of congratulations. "Meg, I was there at your wedding to witness this love story begin, and my friend, I am honoured to capture it grow," he wrote.

"Congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on this joyous news!"

An official statement from Harry and Meghan has also been released, with royal correspondent Omid Scobie – who recently co-wrote the couple's biography, Finding Freedom – sharing it on his Twitter account, alongside the image.

As spokesperson for the couple said: "We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother.

"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child.”

It is not yet known when Meghan is due to birth to little Archie Harrison's new brother or sister.

The announcement comes after Meghan penned an essay in The New York Times last November, revealing that she had suffered from a miscarriage.

Sending huge congratulations to Harry and Meghan!
