Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are showing support for their new hometown.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a contribution to their neighbourhood's new Christmas parade, the first Annual Montecito Holiday Car Parade. The community located near Santa Barbara, California, held the festive celebration last Monday, under the theme 'Holiday Magic,' per the Montecito Journal.

According to the Journal, Harry and Meghan were the first to donate to the parade, which featured brightly-lit cars decorated with garlands, tinsel, and wreaths. A town Santa Claus also participated, handing out candy from a truck complete with Christmas star.

'Thanks to the many parade sponsors including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle who were first to donate,' read the announcement.

The couple moved into their estate in Montecito with their son Archie in July 2020, and they've since welcomed their daughter Lilibet 'Lili' Diana. Meghan recently reflected on the family's relocation from the UK. to California during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in November.

When asked how her husband felt about their home, the duchess said, 'He loves it. ... We moved here during lockdown, exactly when things shut down, so we've just been able to spend a lot of time at home and creating our home, but I think it's just the lifestyle and the weather is pretty great. But we're just happy.'

She also shared how the family would spend the Thanksgiving holiday this year, which came after the interview. 'I love to cook,' the Duchess said. 'We'll be home and just sort of relax and settle in. It's our second Thanksgiving at home in California, so it'll be nice.'
