Prince George has a special request when you watch TV with him: be invested. His parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, recently opened up about the family's television habits - along with their Heads Together mental health campaign - in an interview with BBC Radio 1.

It turns out the royals are big Game of Thrones fans, and their son takes his TV time very seriously.

'There's a lot of children's programs. Oh my goodness, there's a lot of them out there,' Prince William said with a sigh. 'But some of them are really good.'

But three-year-old Prince George is an astute viewer whether the program is good or not. 'You have to pretend you're really interested in it,' William added. 'George gets very upset if you're not showing due diligence to the characters.'

George's favourite show is currently Fireman Sam, his father revealed. He's outgrown the Peppa Pig cartoon, but his little sister Princess Charlotte is just about to become a fan.

As for the Duke and Duchess, their own favourite shows include Homeland and Game of Thrones. 'We're actually quite keen on box sets,' William said.

Like many other TV bingers, the royal couple also likes to indulge in takeout in front of the small screen. Their go-to order of choice? 'Curry,' Middleton revealed with a smile.
