Prince Charles Is a Wine-Drinking Expert, and We Have the Photos to Prove It
We already know the royals love wine (Prince Charles’s Aston Martin Volante runs on the grape stuff, for God’s sake!), so it shouldn’t come as any surprise that the Prince of Wales is a bonafide connoisseur. During Prince Charles and Camilla’s tour of East Anglia, the royal pair paid a visit to the local market in Ely, England, on Tuesday, and met with a few vendors. There, Charles was able to show off some of his sipping skills.
Prince Charles, first in line to the throne, followed wine etiquette as he gripped the stem of the wine glass instead of the bowl (a rule that helps avoid heating the actual wine from the body heat of your hand).
He even went so far as to stick His Majesty's royal nose all the way into the glass (notes of diamonds and crowns, probably) before taking a sip...and *you do you*, sir.
All we know: Tons (and tons and tons) of practice makes perfect.
