The Duchess of Cornwall's book club Reading Room is in full swing, and to celebrate, the royal has shared a sweet throwback of herself and Prince Charles enjoying the snow.

The second book on Camilla's list is Delia Owens' best-selling novel Where the Crawdads Sing, which is currently being adapted into a film by Reese Witherspoon, starring Normal People's Daisy Edgar-Jones as the lead protagonist Kya.

In the photo posted on Instagram, Camilla and Charles are seen smiling happily on the slopes in Scotland back in 2010, with the caption: "Has anyone managed to enjoy the snow? Or are you indoors reading Where the Crawdads Sing? Don’t forget our third book starts on Friday."

Camilla's other books include Restless by William Boyd and The Architect's Apprentice by Elif Shafak.

Camilla had also shared a video interview with Delia Owen on her Reading Room Instagram page, in which Delia explains why she thinks people are so captivated by the novel. The book follows the wily Kya growing up alone on the North Carolina coast in the '60s, and transitioning into a young adult as she grapples with loneliness and the threat of nefarious outsiders.

"There's a lot of Kya in all of us, Kya is about loneliness, Kia is about finding inner strength, you do not have to live in a wild coastal marsh to be lonely," Delia said. "So a lot of people can identify with Kya's story."

Meanwhile, Clarence House has confirmed that Prince Charles, 72, and Camilla, 73, have received their first coronavirus vaccine doses.

Charles revealed he had contracted Covid-19 last year, suffering from mild symptoms which included a loss of taste and smell.
